Currency

The local currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). US Dollars are widely accepted, but only bills issued from 2017 onwards. ATMs are available, and credit cards are accepted at larger shops and restaurants.

Medical

Tanzania is a malaria-endemic country, so we recommend consulting your doctor or travel clinic before your trip for advice on the appropriate anti-malarial medications. Guests are also strongly advised to check the latest vaccination requirements for travel to Tanzania.
